Authorities have publicly identified two members of a Chula Vista family who lost their lives to a predawn freeway crash in East County on Memorial Day.<\/p>\n

Aaron Jose Perez, 25, and his sister, Sophia, 24, were fatally injured shortly before 3:30 a.m. Monday when the westbound 2023 Jeep Wrangler they were in veered off Interstate 8 west of Second Street in El Cajon, went down an embankment, struck a tree and caught fire, according to the county Medical Examiner\u2019s Office and California Highway Patrol.<\/p>\n
