JetBlue has announced the return of a nonstop route between San Diego and Fort Lauderdale, Fla., which will resume in November after it was discontinued more than a year ago.<\/p>\n

In addition to reviving the nonstop flight, JetBlue will now also make available its premium class of service, known as Mint, which includes such perks as fully lie-flat seats and curated dining.<\/p>\n

In San Diego, the new daily nonstop will start on Nov. 19, with flights to Fort Lauderdale departing at 11 a.m.<\/p>\n

Flights between Fort Lauderdale and San Diego are now available for purchase at jetblue.com and on the JetBlue app. TrueBlue customers who book the new nonstop by Sunday may be eligible to receive 2,500 bonus TrueBlue points.<\/p>\n

The last San Diego to Fort Lauderdale nonstop service by JetBlue ended in January 2025, according to San Diego airport spokesperson Nicole Hall. Alaska Airlines is the only carrier that operates daily service to Fort Lauderdale, but only as a seasonal route. she noted. And starting Nov. 21, Southwest Airlines will launch its seasonal service for peak winter holiday travel, she added.<\/p>\n

As part of its announcement this week, JetBlue said it is also expanding its premium Mint flights to the Los Angeles and San Francisco airports, beginning this winter.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith this growth, it marks the largest Mint schedule from Fort Lauderdale in the airline\u2019s history,\u201d the airline said in a news release.<\/p>\n

JetBlue had already increased its daily departures from Fort Lauderdale by more than 75% this year and expects to reach approximately 150 daily flights from the south Florida vacation destination by this winter.<\/p>\n

\u201cCustomers in Fort Lauderdale continue to choose JetBlue for a better coast-to-coast experience, and these additions give them even more of what they value most: more flights, more premium options and the comfort of Mint on key West Coast routes,\u201d said Daniel Shurz, senior vice president of revenue, network and enterprise planning at JetBlue.<\/p>\n

With the new service to San Diego, JetBlue says it will offer the only business class option between Fort Lauderdale and San Diego.<\/p>\n

In addition to the Mint class lie-flat seats, other premium perks include dedicated storage for shoes and laptops, a 17-inch TV and noise-isolating headphones, wellness kits, free high-speed Wi-fi and an open bar.<\/p>\n
