People have been ordered to evacuate the area near Oceanside Airport after a fire erupted late Monday morning.

The blaze was first reported at 10:17 a.m. on Airport Road.
The evacuation area was north of state Route 76, including the airport, the San Luis Rey River bed and the residential neighborhood to its north, according to the Genasys Protect map.

The evacuation site is El Corazon Senior Center at 3480 Village Commercial Dr.
Evacuation warnings were issued to sites east of the San Luis Rey River, stretching east to Douglas Drive and north to Pala Road, according to Genasys.
