Three rail cars derailed near the intersection of Harbor Drive and Switzer Street about 4 p.m. June 6, leaving the cars on their side and another car leaning against pillars of a bridge over Harbor Drive. A section of Harbor Drive was closed for a week as a result.

A spokesperson for the railway said Friday that BNSF police are investigating and “have determined there was criminal activity involved.”
