Authorities have publicly identified three people who died last week in San Diego County crashes.

The most recent of the roadway fatalities, a solo SUV crash, took place on El Camino Real near Townsgate Drive in Carmel Valley around 10 a.m. Saturday, according to the county Medical Examiner’s Office.
Emergency crews arrived at the site of the wreck to find the driver, 64-year-old Suzanne Anderson of San Diego, trapped in an overturned 2010 BMW, police said. After firefighters freed her from the vehicle, paramedics took her to Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla, where she was pronounced dead.
Early last Wednesday, a vehicle struck and killed a 20-year-old woman as she was standing outside a vehicle that had just crashed into a center-divider wall on Interstate 5 near San Diego International Airport.
Veronica Moran of San Diego, who had been a passenger in the disabled Infiniti, was hit by an SUV just after 1 a.m. on the southbound side of the freeway, just south of West Washington Street, according to the county agency and the California Highway Patrol. She died at the scene of the crash.

On July 12, a 27-year-old motorist was fatally injured in a single-vehicle predawn car crash on a Clairemont-area freeway onramp.
William Burton Edwards of San Diego was taking the connector from eastbound Clairemont Mesa Boulevard onto southbound Interstate 805 shortly before 2:30 a.m. when the sedan he was driving veered off the roadway and struck a tree and a cinder-block wall alongside Cannington Drive, according to the CHP and medical examiner.
Edwards died before paramedics could take him to a hospital, the county agency reported.
