Someone fired a bullet into a crowded Vista restaurant and injured a patron Saturday evening, and now there’s a reward for information that leads to an arrest, sheriff’s officials said Wednesday.

A man was eating at the 2N1 Korean BBQ restaurant in Vista Village just before 7:30 p.m. when a bullet pierced the glass, Lt. Nick Backouris said. The diner sustained a minor injury and was treated at the scene.
Investigators believe the bullet that pierced the restaurant window was fired from inside a passing vehicle on Vista Village Drive. The lieutenant said the window took velocity off the bullet.
The restaurant was “pretty crowded inside” at the time of the shooting, Backouris said. “The behavior should concern everyone,” he said.

Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest in the case.
