Police said they responded around 11:30 a.m. after neighbors reported hearing loud arguing coming from the home on 39th Street near University Avenue. The victim, a 33-year-old man, was found bleeding and mortally wounded, inside. Despite life-saving measures, he died before he could be transported to a hospital.

Homicide detectives arrested the woman in the stabbing. The couple lived together as common-law spouses and shared a young child, who was at school and not present at the time of the stabbing, police said.
