The San Diego-based aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln arrived in Thailand early Wednesday for its first port call since December, the Associated Press reported.

The ship has been the source attention in recent weeks due to reports that some crew members have been deeply stressed due to the length of the carrier’s deployment.
Concerns have grown about the Lincoln’s record-setting uninterrupted time at sea following reports of deteriorating mental health among the crew and shortages of supplies including food and hygiene products.
The Lincoln left San Diego in November for what was initially expected to be a six- to seven-month deployment. But it became a main combatant in the U.S.-Iran war, leading to a long extension of its mission.

The carrier is en route to San Diego and is expected to arrive in late September or early October.
The Associated Press said Wednesday that crew members were not immediately accessible to the media, but the ship itself looked due for at least a new paint job.
Photos of the ship showed large blotches of what appeared to be rust on the hull, especially just above the waterline and at the edge of the flight deck, where fighter aircraft and helicopters were parked.
