On the 250th birthday of the United States, From the Archives heads to Balboa Park for this photo of the U.S. Navy band at a concert at Ford Bowl, circa 1939. Ford Bowl was built for the 1935-36 California Pacific International Exposition. Ford Motor Co. sponsored concerts there. It later became Starlight Bowl.
