A 14-year-old boy riding an e-bike died Saturday night after he was hit by a car in a Pacific Beach intersection, San Diego police said.

The teen was headed north on Olney Street when, according to police, he entered the intersection of Balboa Avenue against a red light.

As he crossed, he was struck by a 2023 Model 3 Tesla driven by a 38-year-old man headed west on Balboa, police said.
