The truck was found down an embankment off of Chihuahua Valley Road east of state Route 79 in what was believed to be a solo-vehicle crash, said sheriff’s Lt. David Perkins. Firefighters from Cal Fire San Diego responded to the location and confirmed a man was dead inside the overturned vehicle about 30 feet down an embankment.
Perkins said sheriff’s deputies had launched a search for a missing Warner Springs man early Sunday after it was reported he had not been seen since around 4:30 p.m. Saturday. A sheriff’s helicopter assisted in search efforts.

Shortly after 9 a.m., the truck was located in a ravine about a mile and a half from the missing man’s home, Perkins said.
The county Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the cause of death and identity of the man, while the California Highway Patrol will investigate the crash.
