Skygazers should look at the east-southeast horizon starting at 7:33 p.m., shortly before Earth’s shadow begins to appear on the lunar surface. Scientists say the eclipse will peak at 9:12 p.m. when 96% of the moon will be shadowed. By then, the moon will have taken on a distinct reddish-orange hue.

The partial eclipse ends at 10:51 p.m.
Monsoonal moisture will keep evening temperatures in the 70s during viewing of the eclipse.
