The deaths of a married couple found dead in their Mira Mesa home last week are being investigated as a murder-suicide, San Diego police said Thursday.
Officers responded around 7 p.m. last Friday after neighbors reported suspicious activity at the home on Summerview Court, police said. They found the husband with a gunshot wound to his upper torso and the wife shot to death in the garage.
Tere Silentwater-Teresi, 78, was pronounced dead at the scene. Todd Teresi, 61, was transported to a hospital, where he later died.

Officials determined the husband shot his wife and then himself. The gun was found at the scene, police said.
