A pedestrian was struck by a car and killed while crossing a Mira Mesa street early Saturday, San Diego police said.

The man was crossing Camino Ruiz mid-block, south of Mira Mesa Boulevard, about 4 a.m. when he was struck by a Honda Accord, police said.
The pedestrian, 60, died at the scene. His name was not released pending notification of family.

The Honda driver is not believed to have been driving under the influence, according to police.
