A sheriff’s deputy performing security rounds at the Front Street detention center discovered William Mondesi, 34, passed out and unresponsive shortly before 7:30 p.m. Friday, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Paramedics took Mondesi to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival, sheriff’s Lt. Juan Marquez said.
