A 43-year-old motorcyclist was killed after colliding with a pickup in Otay Mesa on Saturday evening, San Diego police said. The crash occurred about 5:05 p.m. at the intersection of Palm and Norstad avenues.
As many as five possible incidents have been reported in the region since early 2025, according to law enforcement.
Some local fire agencies and governmental entities used the machines to clear brush along roads and on steep hillsides.
