Detectives were investigating the stabbing of a 33-year-old man late Monday night in San Diego’s Jamacha Lomita neighborhood.

The victim was stabbed four times on Cardiff Street around 10 p.m., authorities said.
The suspect, a 35-year-old man, approached the victim unprovoked, who was smoking outside a bar, and told him he was going to kill him, according to San Diego police.

Police said the suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim twice in the chest and twice in the arm. The victim told police that he did not know the attacker or why he attacked him, according to officials.
Officers arrested the suspect at the scene. The victim was taken to the hospital, and his injuries were not life-threatening.
