A 69-year-old man who died after being attacked with a hatchet in a travel trailer parked in Bay Ho earlier this week was identified by police on Thursday.

David Bugaj, of San Diego, suffered fatal injuries when he was allegedly attacked by Larry Raymond Rodriguez, 39, inside the trailer near the intersection of Santa Fe Street and Doman Street around 4:50 p.m., San Diego police Lt. Cesar Jimenez said.
Police found Bugaj in the street suffering from multiple lacerations to the head, Jimenez said.

Rodriguez came out of the trailer and was arrested on suspicion of murder. A young girl, later identified as Rodriguez’s 3-year-old daughter, was also inside the trailer and taken into protective custody.
