El Cajon police officers and Heartland Fire personnel responded around 12:46 a.m. Saturday near Pepper Drive and Jackson Hill Drive to reports that a motorcycle had hit several parked cars, according to ECPD Lt. Kevin Reilly.
The motorcyclist died at the scene.
“The motorcycle rider had been traveling east on Pepper Drive and lost control, colliding with multiple parked vehicles,” Reilly said.
Excessive speed appears to be a factor in the crash, police said.
The ECPD asked anyone with information regarding the collision to call 619-579-3311.
No other injuries were reported. The extent of damage to the parked cars was not disclosed.
